Stolen Roses

What does she see when the miracles he performs
trapping her inside the small iron cage
enticing her to erupt, cut herself in pieces?
Water in her eyes from being submerged,
she finds suffocated bodies of rabbits
floating outside her cage..
Hysterical crowds and monsters
vulgar to hear her scream and struggle
his magic hat accusing her
she holds in her fists the stolen roses..
She sees a world dead before her eyes
and the roses escape to the skies
she watches violently, his miracles
tearing at the cage, a submissive rage..
for a hope precious like dreams
she closes her eyes, and screams..
