As the smiles of sun settle down on the river
a wind begins to seduce the trees
mist spreads into the silent mountains
we listen to the sounds of returning bees.
As cold weather tries to bring us together
we wait by the fireplace, staring into coal
some crackles fly with dissolving resistance
we move slowly, consuming the soul.
